Sestriere - eat, drink, party

Mountain restaurants

There are nine mountain restaurants in Sestriere – Raggio di Sole (00 39 012 276 982) is the most atmospheric and does great homemade cakes while families like the reasonable prices of Il Capret (00 39 012 270 215) down in Borgata by the blue slopes.

Restaurants in town

Despite the fact that many visitors choose self-catering accommodation, there’s a wide selection of affordable restaurants and tasty food in Sestriere.

Pinky’s Pizzeria & Bar (00 39 012 276 441) and Zio Popy (00 39 012 276 441) are popular, particularly with families, while Il Ritrivo (00 39 012 277 488) and la Baita (00 39 012 277 496) offer hearty mountain food.

The atmospheric Tre Rubinetti (00 39 012 277 397), smart Vineria del Colle (00 39 012 267 476), (in Grand Hotel Sestriere) and charming Du Grand Père (00 39 012 275 59 70) offer Italian dishes and Piemontesi specialities with good wine lists.

Après-ski and nightlife

The largely Brit-dominated après-ski kicks off in the Hotel du Col bar at the base of the main piste as well as Pinky’s, The Brahms Pub, Black Pepper and Prestige in town.

Kandahar Wine Bar and Osteria Barabba wine bars are nice for pre-dinner drinks (and popular with locals for a quieter drink) while the Irish Igloo and La Caverna hot up later in the evening and the local disco, Tabata, gets particularly lively on weekends.
