Eurostar has put it's London - Lyon service on sale, and at the moment fares are a relative bargain.

At February half-term, for example, you can go from London to Lyon return - see here on Loco2 - for £179 per adult.

The onward journey from Lyon to resorts's closest stations costs £50 return, but is not on sale yet.

Children aged 4-11 will pay about 30% less.

Going via Lyon means only a simple change of platform to connect with the local train to your ski resort.

The disadvantage of the inbound is that it doesn't arrive at St Pancras until 22:12.  And you have to get out at Lille to do passport and security check.

But overall, it's still well worth it.   Price-wise, compared to what other train options will be at half-term (about £350 return).

And experience-wise, far nicer than flying or driving.

If you'd like suggestions for which resorts you can reach with this option,  or where to stay, by all means send me an email and I'll be back in touch.
