Eurotunnel is carrying out essential engineering work on the Channel Tunnel on two dates this winter. The dates are:

  • Saturday 1 February 2020
  • Sunday 2 February 2020

On these dates, Eurostar trains between London and Brussels, Lille and Paris will not run.

The Eurostar Ski Train will run as normal (because it is using a different track in the tunnel).

If you were considering travel to the Alps via Paris, Lille or Brussels on Saturday 1st February, then a solution is to travel out to Paris, Lille or Brussels on the Friday evening, stay in a hotel there, or an AirBNB, or with a friend, and then travel onward to the Alps the next morning. Which means you can enjoy an evening in a one of these cities, and reach the Alps earlier then next day. Silver linings, and all that.

If you would like advice on journey or holiday options departing that first weekend of February, then please don't hesitate to contact Snowcarbon. We always have good suggestions up our proverbial sleeve.
