Changing in Paris - made easy

Many journeys to ski resorts involve a change of train in Paris, to switch from a Eurostar to a TGV or to an overnight City Night Line or Corail Lunea sleeper train.

Some people worry that the change in Paris is a hassle.   But once you know your options, it is actually very simple and easy.

For a start, you don’t need to take the Metro: you can pre-book a taxi with an English-speaking driver who waits for you at the end of the platform holding a placard with your name on it, and you’ll see some of Paris’ sites on the short journey between stations.  

The RER is easier than the Metro and there are lifts and escalators to it, so you won’t need to lug luggage down any stairs.  And if you are changing to Paris Gare de l’Est you can even walk.
